I grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area, spending my teenage years babysitting countless children. I graduated from Lewis & Clark College in Portland Oregon with a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology. I live in Sunnyvale, CA and have two amazing children. One is now in college, and one is in high school; and I enjoy learning from them every day.
I was a postpartum doula for dozens of families before going back to school to become an RN. After nursing school I started a family of my own. After having my first child I worked first as a Cardiac Care nurse and then went on to pursue my career as a Labor & Delivery and Maternity RN. I worked in L&D at Sequoia Hospital in Redwood City for several years. I loved working as a nurse but I missed the longer term, closer connection that I had with the families that I worked with as a doula, so I went back to my roots! I have now worked as a doula all over the SF Bay Area, especially the South Bay, for over 15 years. I thoroughly enjoy each and every family that I have been privileged to work with! Nothing compares to the passion I have for helping a new family through its 4th trimester!
